A recipient of the 2019 Film Scholar Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, Mindy’s groundbreaking books, including Ink & Paint: The Women of Walt Disney’s Animation and Pencils, Pens & Brushes: A Great Girls’ Guide to Disney Animation, have reshaped the narrative of animation history by highlighting the untold stories of women whose artistry helped define the medium.
